All along wooded roads
Trees and humans interact

The trees are winning

As I drive by I see ribbons
Flowers and sometimes signs
Attached to trees like medals
Of honor for heroic acts

You know those trees are bragging
To the rest of the troops
About withstanding the force of
Introduction between plant and vehicle

If I ever happen to die to a tree
Make sure you leave your flowers
And ribbons at home
Just don't forget the axe
